For 2011, the tour will have two stops, both highlighting local innovation and world class technical expertise.

The first will stop at MetalCraft Marine in Kingston. Metal Craft Marine, with its innovative design and construction techniques has earned an enviable reputation across North America for its commercial boat design. For over 300 years boats have been built on this site, come and see firsthand how the history of this site has evolved.

The second tour will head west to the Town of Bath to the Lafarge Cement Plant where technologies to utilize biomass as fuel for the plants enormous kilns are being studied. Learn how local farmers are producing biomass crops to potentially replace coal as the primary fuel for the plant. This is innovation on a massive scale!
