Species At Risk And Approaches For Protecting Them Through Land Use Planning.
Realizing Multiple Benefits Through Our Shared Responsibilities.
This session will consist of an overview of implementation of the Endangered Species Act. This will include a summary of the roles and responsibilities of various agencies and provide procedures to support effective communication and project planning. The session will highlight how protecting natural areas for their natural benefits will achieve multiple planning objectives while supporting implementation of the Endangered Species Act. To close, the session will provide recommendations for protecting Species at Risk and their habitats through the land use planning process.
