Protecting Our Lakes
In July 2010, the province released the final version of the Lakeshore Capacity Assessment Handbook to the public. The handbook is a guidance document intended to help municipalities protect water quality, and ensure the protection of fish species and habitat by managing development along the shorelines of its lakes. This session will help introduce users to the handbook, and provide examples of its application in eastern Ontario.
