Friday Cotton Mill Excursion

This session offers a walking tour of the Cotton Mill, a new mixed use district on the St. Lawrence River. This development is a prime example of large-scale brownfield redevelopment and heritage building restoration. The complex includes residential units, studio space, commercial, and office space. The walking tour will offer a chance to explore the development, guided by R.M.P. Construction and Development Ltd. Transportation will be provided.

Friday Historic SDG Jail Excursion

Come and spend some time behind bars at the Historic SDG Jail at 11 Water St. Cornwall.

Originally constructed in 1833 on the site of an army barracks used during the War of 1812, the Historic SDG Jail remained operational until 2002, when the Ministry of Correctional Services closed the facility in favour of newer, larger facilities in major cities. Walk through our cell blocks, common areas, exercise yard and visitation area. Said to be haunted, the jail facilitated five executions, the final execution was as late as 1954. The jail has been maintained as it was when populated by inmates. This excursion is free of charge. Transportation will not be provided but there is parking available onsite.
