2001 Conference Wrap Up Cornwall's Paul Fitzpatrick was named ‘Economic Developer of the Year' by the Ontario East Economic Development Commission. Over 400 delegates attended the 2001 Conference. The Ontario Realty Corporation (ORC) recently featured their participation at the 2001 Ontario East Municipal Conference in the Fall and Winter 2001 "Realty Report". The ORC article pointed out the importance of exhibiting to the municipal sector at events such as OEMC and AMO, and identified several benefits to its members. We asked conference delegates three questions this year regarding conference location, the pre-conference workshop and a 1000 Island Dinner Boat Cruise. Here are the results:

"Do you prefer Ottawa or Kingston as the site for OEMC 2003?" "Would you like a Thursday evening 1000 Island dinner cruise next year?" 67% said yes, 25% said no and 8% had no opinion.
